Informal Training: Enrolled teens and adults can access our gym and equipment withminimal supervision. Enjoy a relaxed training atmosphere with professional rigging and anon-site coach available for support.
Circus Artist Training (CATS): Designed for professional circus artists, this programprovides access to our space and equipment—or you can bring your own.
Professional Development Programs: From preparatory training to private coaching andaudition mentoring, we provide comprehensive support for CircusWest graduates andcommunity members ready to take their training to the next level.
Our Provincial Performance Preparatory Program “4P” governs the post-secondary andprofessional programming options at CircusWest. This includes pathways for existingstudents, adults looking to expand their skill set, and athletes interested in cross-trainingand professional development.
CATS is for circus artists with previous professional training and experience on the apparatus upon which they wish to practice. Artists are asked to have any personal equipment or apparatus inspected by our on-site rigger.
The CATS Skills Assessment is conducted on-site by one of our head coaches. Artists are appraised based on a series of base criteria including athletic readiness, command of equipment, and general experience within a circus gym setting.

While we want everyone to feel safe in our gym, we recognize the inherent risks associated with circus activities. Participating in formal insurance coverage allows us to keep our doors open safely and confidently for everyone.

As a nonprofit organization we rely on Membership fees to cover our operational costs. Members are also included in decision making and community initiatives. Our yearly membership will be valid for any training session, class, workshop from September 1st till August 31st. Membership is a once per year fee due upon your first visit to our facility in a given season.

We follow the Vancouver School Board Calendar. Notice of additional closures will be sent to all members by email. We will be close annually in August during the PNE Fair.
