Our Provincial Performance Preparatory Program “4P” governs the post-secondary and professional programming options at CircusWest. This includes pathways for existing students, adults looking to expand their skill set, and athletes interested in cross-training and professional development.
4P Pipeline
The 4P Pipeline is designed to identify and support young athletes who show potential for promotion in the circus arts, based on various benchmarks. Selected young athletes will participate in a series of workshop sessions in our gym to enhance their skills and receive guidance on their athletic development.

4P is designed for motivated circus and movement artists who desire high level specialized training. This intensive 9 month program allows artists to develop the technical, physical, and academic skills necessary to enter the circus industry as a professional performer, producer, or team member.

Pro Pathway
The Pro Pathway is for established circus artists looking to train and build with fellow professionals.
Accepted artists will enjoy staff supported training 3X per week plus access 4P physical training and equipment throughout the training season.

Pro +
Pro + allows select artists to access CircusWest's professional drop-in options for less. This prepaid monthly pass is available to 4P Alumni, Pro Pathway, and 4P Pipeline students for additional self directed training during CATS and Informal Training.

To participate in CircusWest classes, all participants are required to:
• Purchase a CircusWest Yearly Family Membership at $16 (valid September 1st – August 31st)
• Purchase Yearly Student Insurance at $42 (valid September 1st – August 31st)
• Read and sign the CircusWest Acknowledgement of Risk and Student Code of Conduct (parent or guardian signature required for minors)

Our professional development pathways include several building blocks we believe are core to performing professionally in circus arts.Accepted applicants will take part in:
4P Programming follows the local school board calendar for winter holidays and spring break. No training on statutory holidays. CircusWest closes for 2 weeks during the PNE.
Yes, with two weeks' written notice. Use the 4P Break Request form (ask staff for it). Payment adjustments apply after the form is submitted.
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. It will be posted to your account by staff and must be paid before classes begin.
